Sacred Heart Mercy Health Care Center is a non-profit, Minnesota corporation. We are a family medicine practice founded and owned by the Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma, Michigan, as our health care apostolate in Jackson, Minnesota.
The Religious Sisters of Mercy have been serving the people of Jackson and the surrounding area since 1981. Sacred Heart Mercy Health Care Center (SHMHCC) strives to extend the healing power of the redemption of Jesus Christ to the patients whom we serve.
In the last year, our physicians have been engaged in greater outreach regarding natural family planning and Theology of the Body, because so many Catholics do not understand the relationship between NFP and faith. The Sisters have also been increasingly involved in issues regarding end-of-life care, advanced directives, and POLST – all of which are issues in which our Catholic faith and teachings about the sacredness of human life from conception to natural death, and our faith in eternal life, are closely related.
All activities and programs of Sacred Heart are guided by the Ethical and Religious Directives for Health Care Services (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops).
Sacred Heart Mercy Health Care Center is a 501©(3), non-profit, tax exempt corporation in the state of Minnesota. Any donations given to us are tax deductible, and we will provide you with a receipt for the donation.
